Going Once: International auctioneers Bonhams & Butterfields will have its fall auction of salon jewelry on Sept. 21 at The Venetian. The 400 lot sale will include a group of diamond, platinum, famous-maker, signed jewels and watches from the Clavius Collection of fine watches, as well as property from a private Las Vegas collection. The illustrated catalog will be featured at bonhams.com/us before the auction. The Las Vegas public previews are Sept. 4-7 and Sept. 20.

When Chuck St. Troy was first approached to offer Pop Tinsel as a menu item at Saints and Sinners Hair Design, the salon owner couldn’t get on board with the product. “Originally I thought, ‘Who’s gonna put that in their hair? Who wants to look like a Christmas tree?’ ” he remembers. When he ran the idea by his stylists, though, it didn’t take long to convert St. Troy to the idea.
