IHOP celebrating National Pancake Day with free short stack today

Free pancakes!

Today’s National Pancake Day, and if you’ve been paying attention the past few years, you know IHOP usually celebrates with a free short stack for anyone who comes in to a participating location.

In this case there is such a thing as a free lunch (or breakfast), but we need to qualify that. Those dining at IHOP today will be asked to consider a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. No obligation, but folks who have been moved by the cause (not to mention the free pancakes) have donated nearly $20 million to the hospitals since 2006, IHOP says.

The deal — three free buttermilk pancakes — is good until 7 p.m. today at participating locations. There are about two dozen IHOPs in the valley.
