Lace up Vegas

Sexy, romantic, feminine lace — this centuries-long elegant trend has come back stronger than ever. For this summer, lace is not only a way to portray sophistication but also to complete a fashion look, layering or completing an outfit. Depending on the occasion – be it a friends luncheon, an office presentation or night out on the Strip — lace is always the perfect choice.

“I love this little black dress. I would wear it to go out with my friends or for dinner on the Strip. I feel totally confident in it”, said Anela (last name), one of the models at Wednesday’s photo shoot for FashionTrend.Vegas and Valley View.

Pink Society at Downtown Summerlin provided the lace outfits, which demonstrated the versatility of this fabric, going from a little black lace dress for a night out on the Strip to a Las Vegas summery afternoon at the pool with friends.

“I love how I can layer it,” said model Alona (last name). “Lace allows you to wear different fabrics and combine it with different pieces. This is great; in summer it’s hard to layer because of the high temperatures, so I love it!”

The weekly shooting is a joint venture of ABC 13 and FashionTrend.Vegas, your guide to Las Vegas fashion. See photos of the weekly photo shoot here and on Valley View Live, starting at 2 p.m. every Friday.

Each week, Zar Zanganeh, co-host of Valley View Live, and FashionTrend.Vegas editor Maria Cristina Matta-Caro talk about the fashion trend of the week with people in Las Vegas, who get to show off their version of the topic and perhaps appear on the site and the TV show.

The next trend will be summer prints. Las Vegas locals are welcome to participate and join FashionTrend.Vegas and the ABC crew from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Downtown Summerlin Promenade.
