Man serenades ailing wife of 73 years — VIDEO

In a video filmed by his granddaughter, a 92-year-old World War II veteran is seen serenading his wife of 73-years while visiting her at a hospice.

According to his granddaughter Erin, her grandfather, Howard, was singing "You'll Never Know" by Rosemary Clooney with Harry James.

The couple often referred to this song as their "love song," because Erin's grandmother, Laura, often sang this song while her husband was away serving in World War II.

After 50 years of marriage, Laura and Howard renewed their wedding vows and performed this song, as a duet, for their entire family during the reception.

The outpouring of love that surfaced after the video was posted lifted everyone's spirits, even Erin's grandmother's, she said. The hospice deemed Laura was well enough to return home and live out her remaining days, with her devoted husband by her side, in the comfort of their own home.
