Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and pop culture that we've been talking about lately.

■ Clark County commissioners consider banning animals on sidewalks and pedestrian bridges along the Strip. Unfortunately exempt from the proposed ban: the indigenous Lounge Lizard.

■ A Las Vegas judge delays boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s 90-day jail term for beating his ex-girlfriend in front of their kids so that he can fight in a May 5 bout. With justice for ... Ha! Had you there for a second, right?

■ The Girl Scouts unveil a new cookie, Savannah Smiles. Pretty sure we saw Savannah Smiles at a topless club we snuck into during high school.

■ The Las Vegas Township constable's office is criticized for its officers' performance in a profanity-laced video. Up next: "Mall Cops Gone Wild!"
