Water cooler: Ronda Rousey, Johnny Football and Pink Floyd

Here are a few pop culture tidbits that just happened to catch our eye.

■ Ronda Rousey ▶ needs all of 16 seconds to beat Alexis Davis in UFC 175 at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Took the rest of us that long to wrestle the bottle cap from our beer.

■ Heisman Trophy winner and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel returns to Las Vegas to party over the July Fourth weekend. Don’t worry, though, because spending too much time in Las Vegas never ends badly for pro athletes.

■ Pink Floyd will release its first album of new material in 20 years. Now where did we put that ... planter? That’s right, “it’s a planter.”

■ Filming of “Star Wars Episode VII” shuts down for two weeks because of Harrison Ford’s on-set leg fracture. May the (healing) force be with him.
