Nevada Virtual Academy’s 894 students don’t go to a physical classroom to learn. But every year, the school’s student council organizes a prom for students to dance and socialize in person.

The Clark County School Board unanimously approved several changes on Thursday evening to its abstinence-based sex education curriculum for the upcoming school year.
A coalition of about 40 religious and social service organizations said Wednesday that the Clark County School District needs to fix its teacher shortage problem and needs to fix it now.
Call them either Bycraft’s Five or a reincarnation of the Hole in the Wall gang, but a team of four juniors and one senior from Green Valley High School are ready to crack some safes. Science teacher Mike Bycraft and members of the Henderson school’s engineering club are headed to Israel in March to compete in an international safe-cracking competition. Three other Clark County schools are also participating.
