1 dead, 1 in critical condition after shooting at Las Vegas bus stop

One man is dead and another is in critical condition after an early morning shooting at a bus stop in the central Las Vegas Valley.

The two men were approached at a bus stop near Eastern and Tropicana avenues by three to four Hispanic males in their late teens to early 20s when an argument broke out about 12:25 a.m. One of the Hispanic males pulled a gun and shot at the two men, striking both, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said.

Both of the shot males were taken to University Medical Center where one was pronounced dead and the other remains in critical condition, Meltzer said.

Metro's homicide unit continues to investigate this incident. The identity of the dead man will be released by the Clark County coroner.
