Two people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision caused one car to crash into the landscaping in front of a nearby building Monday morning.

The crash happened about 7:45 a.m. in the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Franklin Avenue, according to Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer.

The two people were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Their injuries are unknown, but there is no indication of critical injuries, Meltzer said.
