215 Beltway at Lake Mead reopened after crash

A motorist suffered serious injuries — but is expected to survive — in a crash on south 215 Beltway just before the Lake Mead Boulevard exit Thursday morning, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers and emergency workers were called about 11:30 a.m. to the wreck that involved a truck and and an Oldsmobile sedan, NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said. The woman driving the sedan was taken to University Medical Center with injuries not deemed life-threatening.

The crash blocked the right lanes but was being cleared about 1 p.m., Stuenkel said.
