41-year-old Illinois man faces felony charges in Las Vegas

A 41-year-old Illinois man faces felony kidnapping and drug charges in Nevada after a woman accused him of beating and keeping her captive for almost two months in their hometown before she escaped from him in February at a Strip hotel.

James McNamara of Markham, Ill., was indicted Friday on charges that could get him up to life in prison. His arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday. McNamara has been at the Clark County jail since the 25-year-old woman left him Feb. 15 and police arrested him at Circus Circus .
