Abandoned car on tracks forces train to be stopped
Las Vegas police had to stop a train Monday morning after a car stalled on the tracks in the central valley.
The car, which was abandoned, stalled out just before 2 a.m. Monday on West Desert Inn Road, near Sammy Davis Jr Drive, according to Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon.
Gordon said police contacted the Union Pacific Railroad company to stop the train while the car was towed away.
