Central Las Vegas hit-and-run sends several to hospital

Four people were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after a hit-and-run crash in the Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded at about 4:30 p.m. to the intersection of East Desert Inn Road and Swenson Street after a three-vehicle car crash.

A man drove his vehicle into three other vehicles and fled the scene, Metro Sgt. Corey Moon said. The suspect then exited the vehicle and ran away. Arriving officers spotted him and he gave up running, officers then took him into custody.

Impairment was considered not a factor.

The people taken to the hospital had minor, nonlife-threatening injuries, Moon said.
