Central valley mobile home catches fire, causes plume of smoke

A central valley mobile home fire displaced a family Thursday afternoon and sent up large plume of smoke, visible from miles away.

The Clark County Fire Department responded at 4:52 p.m. to a double-wide mobile home fire in Miracle Mile Mobile Home Park, 3642 Boulder Highway, said assistant fire chief Larry Haydu.

When responders arrived, the fire was in full force, coming out of the windows, Haydu said.

The family living in the home was unharmed, Haydu said, but some pets may have been killed.
