Officers were called to a backyard in the 3700 block of Kolanut Lane, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road, about 5:30 a.m., Las Vegas police said.

When they arrived, officers found Launde White, 25, of Las Vegas, dead from gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
