Coroner IDs Las Vegas man stabbed to death

The man fatally stabbed at a home near McCarran International Airport Monday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

He is David Dewayne Fritz, 51, of Las Vegas, staff said Wednesday.

Fritz was discovered with an apparent stab wound by Las Vegas police responding to a call at 6 a.m. about a family member threatening another in the 5300 block of Latigo Street, near the intersection of Eastern and Hacienda avenues, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said Monday.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he later died.

Mason David Fritz, 19, the son of David Fritz, has been arrested in the stabbing. He was booked Monday on charges of open murder, robbery, kidnapping, grand larceny, domestic battery and destruction of another's property.
