Court construction begins downtown — PHOTOS

Construction on the Supreme Court and appellate courts of Nevada started Tuesday with a ceremonial groundbreaking in downtown Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice James Hardesty spoke during the ceremony, and dignitaries shoveled dirt at the site, which is at the corner of S. 4th Street and E. Clark Avenue.
