New Coffee Bean drinks: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is introducing a trio of teas during an open house set from 2 to 6 p.m. March 10 at participating locations. For $2, customers can try any size (excluding 32-ounce) of the Pineapple Sweet Tea Ice Blended drink, Blood Orange Sweet Tea Ice Blended drink, and Thai Tea Latte & Ice Blended drink. During the open house, $1 of every drink purchased will go to the nonprofit Best Buddies. Additionally, guests can receive a complimentary beverage (any size) with a minimum $30 reload or purchase of The Coffee Bean Card.

Second ChiAm opens: On Feb. 24, the second ChiAm fast casual Chinese and dim sum restaurant opened at 6300 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 170. Visit chiamrestaurant.com.

Cracker Barrel coming to North Las Vegas: On March 2, North Las Vegas city officials attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurant location at 2815 E. Craig Road. The ceremony marks the coming of two Cracker Barrels to the Las Vegas Valley. The North Las Vegas restaurant is scheduled to open in late July. The other location is slated for the Silverton.

Mexipanese: Asian fusion restaurant Mexipanese is set to open March 10 at 365 Lewis Ave. The locale offers blends of Japanese and Mexican-style dishes. The restaurant is operated by local owners, Mike and Marilyn Howland, who also assumed ownership of next-door Sin City Sandwich in April 2015. Chinese, Japanese fusion: Ondori Asian Kitchen has opened at The Orleans, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. Offering Chinese or Japanese plates on their own or a menu of the two blended, called tomodomo, the restaurant is open from 11 to 1 a.m. daily. Visit orleanscasino.com/dine/ondori.

Tequila Dinner: Cantina Laredo’s quarterly dinner is planned to start with cocktails at 7 p.m. March 19 at Tivoli Village, 430 S. Rampart Blvd. A four-course meal paired with cocktails is planned to start at 7:30. Seats are $49.99 per person. RSVP by calling 702-202-4511.

New Vista Community Wine Walk: Individuals can participate in the 2016 Wine Walk from 7 to 10 p.m. March 19, April 9 and May 21 at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Each walk will showcase a variety of food and wine throughout Town Square and will feature 15 wines for sampling. Beer festival: Motley Brews’ sixth annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer is planned from 3 to 7 p.m. April 9 near the Fremont East Entertainment District. Early-entry tickets (2 to 7 p.m.) are $50 until April 9 and $55 at the door. VIP Brewer’s Lounge (2 to 7 p.m.) tickets are $90 until April 9 and $95 at the door. Specialty pizza offer: In honor of the upcoming International Pizza Expo, Pizza Rock at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson is set to offer a specialty pizza, The Sinferno, through March 12. It features signatures sauces with a kick (American, Italian, San Marzano), with a three cheese blend of white cheddar, asiago, and mozzarella, topped with Calabrese peppers, sweet and spicy Calabrese sausage and crimini mushrooms. Artichoke Festival: d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar at the Monte Carlo on the Strip is hosting its seventh annual Artichoke Festival through March 25. The festival showcases the vegetable grown from Ocean Mist Farms in Castroville, Calif., hailed as the “artichoke center of the world.” The restaurant’s menu includes six dishes featuring the vegetable. Crazy Pita to support St. Jude’s: Throughout March, Crazy Pita will participate in a paper icon sales campaign collecting monetary donations starting at $1 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Reset Project educational dinner: Create A Change Now recently announced its partnership with The Reset Project to bring continuous awareness and health education to families and the community. The pair are planning to host their first educational dinner, Inspire.Challenge.Engage, at 5:45 p.m. March 10 at Booker Elementary, 2277 Martin Luther King Blvd. The family-style dinner is set to feature celebrity chef Johnny Church and his prix fixe menu highlighting local farms and food artisans. MS research donations: Rachel’s Kitchen locations at 150 Las Vegas Blvd. North, 9691 Trailwood Drive and 3330 S. Hualapai Drive, Suite 190, plan to raise money to support Multiple Sclerosis research March 11 and 12. Customers must bring in a copy of the fundraiser event flier found on the restaurant’s Facebook page or website, show a photo of it on their smartphone, or show the social media post when they order their food those dates. In return, Rachel’s Kitchen will donate 20 percent of the customer’s bill to the local Multiple Sclerosis Society via “TEAM EZ” at the WALK MS event. Hoops & Hops: The three-day March College Basketball viewing experience is set to return to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 17-19. In addition to featuring betting stations (open at 7:30 a.m. each day) and multiple televisions throughout the venue, guests can try interactive experiences, including access to a basketball court, billiards, shuffleboard, blackjack, an onsite sports book and more.
