LES KINCAID PLANS CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER
Les Kincaid, host of the radio wine show "Wines Du Jour," plans to host a Taste of Wines class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 12-Oct. 17, at Total Wine & More, 501 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson.
Learn about sensory evaluation, types of wines and grapes, ordering wine and food/wine matching. Students must be 21 or older. The cost is $225 per person for all six sessions.
The Spice Up Your Kitchen class is planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery, 4175 S. Grand Canyon Drive, No. 109. Learn quick and easy ways to improve your kitchen. Recipes and wine tasting are also planned. The cost is $39 per person.
A class on vegetarian entrees is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Ferguson. The cost is $39 per person.

'WINES DU JOUR' PLANS BROADCAST AT SMITH & WOLLENSKY
Les Kincaid, host of the radio wine show "Wines Du Jour," plans to host a live broadcast of the program's 11th anniversary show from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse, 3767 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Guests are asked to arrive at 6:30 p.m. The show will feature three wines paired with three to five bites of the steakhouse's cuisine. Guests will receive a goodie bag and a chance to win a trip.
The cost to attend is $40. Guests must be 21 or older.

FLAVORS OF THE HEART SET FOR SATURDAY
World Market Center Las Vegas, Worldview On 16, Building B, 475 Grand Central Parkway, plans to host Flavors of the Heart, a multicultural culinary event, from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
The event is presented by the American Heart Association. Food and wine tasting, a silent auction and live music are planned, along with education about making healthier choices when eating out.
Tickets are $75 for individuals, $140 for two, $325 for five, $600 for 10 and $1,000 for 20.

PROJECT DINNER TABLE COMING TO TOWN SQUARE LAS VEGAS
Project Dinner Table plans to host a county fair-themed event featuring a menu by executive chef Edmund Wong of Bellagio and executive chef Royden Ellamar of Sensi at Bellagio at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The meal will be served outside on North Main Street at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Guests will eat family style at one long table seating 175 guests.
A six-course meal with cocktail pairings is planned. Dishes will include Corn Pups, creamed corn fritters with homemade mustard and Sensi ketchup; Raw and Grilled Farmers Market Salad with Gilcrease Cider Dressing; Beer Can Chickens; and caramel apples.
A $4,000 donation is planned to be made to Safe Nest and the Shade Tree shelter.

SAMMY'S ANNOUNCES REVAMPED MENU
Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & Grill has added new tapas, pizzas, salads and entrees to its menu.
The mix of "healthy global cuisine" features 50 items, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. New tapas include juicy Japanese-style chicken meatballs, crispy tofu and Wok'd shisito peppers. New pizzas include Royal Hawaiian, raclette and fingerling potatoes.
New entrees include Wild Mexican shrimp and grits, all-natural turkey melt and brown rice penne.
The new menu is available at all Sammy's valley locations, except for the 4300 E. Sunset Road location, which will launch the new menu in several months.

EL SEGUNDO SOL PLANS SEPTEMBER EVENTS
El Segundo Sol at the Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is scheduled to offer Loco Hour specials all day Friday.
Food specials include Loaded Nachos for $5, street tacos for $2.25 to $3.25 and quesadillas for $4 to $5.
The restaurant plans to host a celebration of Mexican Independence Day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 15. Food and drink specials, including beer for $3 to $4.25, sangria for $4, margaritas for $5 and tequila shots for $3, are planned, as well as music from live band Volume 2 and disc jockey DJ Kique.
A cooking class is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 29 with executive chef Terry Lynch. The menu is set to feature guacamole with chipotle and shrimp, Dos Tacos! grilled beef with chipotle marinade and roasted pork belly with pineapple and chile. Dessert is bunuellos with ripe peaches and cream. Beverages will be prickly pear margarita and the Sexy Mexy cocktail.

BUFFALO WILD WINGS TO HOST DINE TO DONATE EVENT FOR HELP
Buffalo Wild Wings, 7430 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite 120, plans to host a Dine to Donate event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 15.

CELEBRATE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY AT HUSSONG'S CANTINA IN SEPTEMBER

The Las Vegas Wine and Food Festival is planned for Sept. 22 at Red Rock Resort pool, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.
