Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host Whisk(e)y Wednesdays in November in the Cigar Lounge. The event showcases different flights, pours and whiskeys. FOOD COLLECTION UNDERWAY AT CAPRIOTTI’S

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has teamed up with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission for a food drive where guests can donate nonperishable food items in the bins at any Las Vegas Capriotti’s through Nov. 23. As an added incentive, those who donate five or more items will receive a free small to medium sandwich upsize.

Last year, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission served approximately 1,800 Thanksgiving meals and distributed Thanksgiving food baskets to nearly 2,000 homes. This year, Capriotti’s is joining the effort, and Capriotti’s Support Center staff members are also volunteering at the Mission, 480 W. Bonanza Road, to serve meals Nov. 26. In addition to the sandwich franchise’s efforts, Butterball, a longtime supplier of Capriotti’s turkeys, is donating 20 turkeys to the charitable cause.

Hash House A Go Go plans to serve a Thanksgiving Day menu with specials priced from $5.95 to $21.95, including pumpkin bisque, HH Wedge Salad, roasted turkey breast with homemade mashed potatoes, rosemary gravy, old school dressing, vegetables and cranberry sauce and stuffed turkey meatloaf with mashed potatoes and barbecue cream.

GARFIELD’S PLANS HOME-STYLE THANKSGIVING MENU

Garfield’s Restaurant, 2620 Regatta Drive, plans to serve a home-style Thanksgiving menu from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 28.

The menu is set to start with butternut squash soup with spiced cream and sage garnish or Garfield’s Holiday Salad with toasted walnuts and cranberry vinaigrette. Entree choices will be home-style roasted turkey with seasoned cornbread stuffing and pan herb gravy, pan-seared filet of beef with house steak sauce or grilled Atlantic salmon with heirloom tomato sauce. Dessert will be home baked pies: brown sugar and cream apple, pecan with caramel sauce and Garfield’s traditional pumpkin.

Parties of eight or more have the option of enjoying a whole farm fresh turkey served tableside. Advance ordering is required and supply is limited.
