WALK FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS PLANNED SATURDAY AT TOWN SQUARE
Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host the Walk for Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and opening ceremonies set for 8:30 a.m.

ASIAN COOKING DEMONSTRATION PLANNED SATURDAY AT LIBRARY
The Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, is slated to host an Asian cooking demonstration at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Jewel Box Theater.
Attendees will learn how to make meals using ingredients from local Asian grocery stores.

MOTHER'S DAY DINNER AND DANCE SET
The Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., plans to host a Mother's Day dinner and dance from 6 to 10 p.m. May 12 in the facility's ballroom.

DEFENDING FREEDOM MEMORIAL DEDICATION SET FOR SATURDAY
The seventh annual Defending Freedom Memorial rededication ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, 1000 Scenic Loop Drive.
The ceremony will add names to the memorial, which honors soldiers, Marines, airmen and sailors.
The ceremony is open to the public and is sponsored by Phil Randazzo and the Nevada Benefits Foundation.
Entrance to the park is free for this event, but notify the park ranger that you are there for the memorial.

ANNUAL LANDSCAPE CONTEST TAKING APPLICATIONS THROUGH MONDAY
Applications for the Southern Nevada Water Authority's 14th annual Landscape Awards competition are being taken through Monday.
The water authority's Landscape Awards honor residential and professional water-efficient landscapes that are attractive and functional.
Participants from Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Laughlin and unincorporated Clark County can enter the competition.
Winners are scheduled to be announced during a special breakfast ceremony in June.
