I-15 lanes closed due to truck fire reopen
The right two lanes of northbound Interstate 15 near Washington Avenue were closed for several hours this morning due to a garbage truck fire.
The Nevada Highway Patrol got a call about 9 a.m. about a fire in the waste storage area of a Republic Services truck.
Trooper Loy Hixson said the fire was put out and no injuries were reported. A tow truck has since moved the truck, and traffic has resumed in both lanes.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
