Las Vegas apartment fire displaces three families

A fire at an apartment complex displaced nine people and caused $150,000 in damage but no injuries were reported Sunday, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at Antigua Bay Apartments, 5225 E. Charleston Blvd., near Nellis Boulevard, about 4:50 p.m. and saw heavy smoke coming from a unit on the second floor. By the time they stopped the blaze, two second-level units were damaged, one by smoke and one by fire. One lower-level unit suffered water damage.

The Red Cross was asked to help relocate the three displaced families.
