Las Vegas man dies after vehicle hits light pole on Decatur

The man who died after crashing into a light pole in North Las Vegas early Tuesday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

He is 54-year-old David Albert Perea, of Las Vegas, staff said.

North Las Vegas police spokesman officer Steve Wiese said first responders were dispatched at 1:39 a.m. to the 7200 block of North Decatur Boulevard, at Elkhorn Road.

A vehicle traveling north on Decatur left the roadway and struck the pole.

Perea died at the scene.
