Las Vegas police searching for armed robber

Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man connected to an armed robbery near Rainbow and Charleston boulevards.

On July 22 about 5:20 a.m., a man in a blue hooded sweatshirt went to a store near Rainbow and Charleston when he approached an employee and pointed a handgun, demanding money.

After getting the cash, he ran away through the shopping center parking lot.

The man was about 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, dark gray pants, and he was armed with a large semi-automatic handgun, according to police.

He is known for committing several other armed robberies in the past month.
