A 27-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after driving his truck into a construction crane Friday afternoon.
The driver was traveling north on U.S. Highway 95 and went off on the left shoulder into a construction site near Cheyenne Avenue about 3:10 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said. He was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
Investigators did not find any signs of braking at the scene, police said, and what caused the man to veer off the roadway has not been determined.
