Man indicted in string of northeast valley robberies

A man accused of a string of five robberies in the northeast valley was indicted Wednesday by a Clark County grand jury.

Prosecutors said Theodore Johnson, who faces five counts of burglary while in possession of a firearm, six counts of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon, and three counts of attempted robbery with the use of a deadly weapon, robbed a Subway sandwich shop three times, a convenience store and a smoke shop between April and July 25.

Johnson was able to get money from all each of the locations once, and he was arrested after leaving the Subway following the third incident, according to prosecutor Elizabeth Mercer.

Johnson, who was ordered held on $520,000 bail, was slated to appear in court next week.
