Man killed after hitting business with truck identified
A man who died after driving a pickup onto a sidewalk and striking a business was identified Thursday.
Philip John Engstrom, 33, of Las Vegas, crashed about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday while driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota south on Decatur Boulevard at West Evergreen Avenue.
Las Vegas police said the truck crossed the center of the roadway and traveled southeast across the northbound lanes. The pickup then went over the east sidewalk and hit the corner of a business at 825 S. Decatur Blvd.
Authorities believed Engstrom may have had a medical episode. His cause of death was not available Thursday.
