A body found Friday afternoon southwest of Enterprise, Utah, was identified Saturday as a man who was reported missing from Las Vegas, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office responded about 1:50 p.m. Friday to a call from a person who had been moving their cattle about 9 miles south of the Enterprise Reservoir, about 175 miles northeast of Las Vegas, when they found human remains, the department wrote in a release Saturday.
The remains of Kennard Murray Dixon, 40, of Cedar City, Utah, were found near a vehicle that had out-of-state plates and appeared to have been involved in a crash, the release said.
Dixon was last seen Sept. 25 in Las Vegas, the release said. He was listed as missing by family members after they couldn't make contact with him.
"Although the investigation is ongoing, initial information has shown no indication of foul play," the Sheriff's Office wrote.
The Utah state medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of Dixon's death.
