Man was outside Las Vegas crosswalk when he was hit by truck

A 69-year-old man was killed Saturday night when a pickup truck struck him in the central valley.

The crash happened about 8:45 p.m., police said, just west of the intersection of West Flamingo and South Lindell roads. The man was crossing Lindell Road outside of the marked crosswalk when a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 hit him. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.

Police said the Dodge’s driver showed no signs of impairment.

The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the man killed once his family has been notified. His death marks the 108th traffic-related fatality investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department this year.
