Man who died in single-vehicle crash Monday identified
A 31-year-old man killed after the SUV he was riding in crashed into a parked truck Monday has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
He is Milton Montes of Las Vegas, staff said Tuesday.
The driver of the 2004 Ford Expedition, Omar Herrera, 28, of Las Vegas, faces felony charges after he fled the scene of the accident, police said Monday. He was later located at North Vista Hospital where he was being treated for minor injuries.
Herrera was booked on one count each of DUI, reckless driving resulting in death and duty to stop at the scene of a deadly crash.
First responders were called shortly before 1 a.m. to the 1700 block of Brooks Avenue, near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue, police said.
