Man wounded in Vegas drive-by shooting

One man was hospitalized after a shooting in the southeast Las Vegas Valley on Saturday.

Las Vegas police received a call at 4:27 p.m. about a drive-by shooting on the southeast corner of Twain Avenue and Cambridge Street.

Two men were standing at the corner when shots were fired from a blue car, striking one man in the torso, police said.

The man was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that were not life threatening.

Metro’s gang detail was on scene investigating, but it was unclear if the incident was gang-related.
