Metro seeks 2 people in connection with Craig Road shooting

Metro is seeking the public’s help in finding two people in connection with a June 12 shooting, the department said Thursday.

At 11:48 p.m., police responded to a shooting on the 5200 block of Craig Road. A wounded woman was found inside the apartment and taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The woman and a male friend saw “several” men loitering in a neighboring area, police said, including one responsible for a previous burglary. They followed the group of men into a “business complex.”

As the woman and man left the complex, a man and a boy followed them out, police said. When the woman and man hopped in their car, one of the followers pulled out a gun and fired, hitting the woman in the head.

Police described the shooter as a 20-year-old black male adult, who was wearing a red shirt and black jeans at the time of the shooting.

His accomplice, a 17-year-old black male juvenile, had a flattop haircut that was blond on the top, police said.

Las Vegas police ask anyone with information about the incident or the shooters involved to contact Metro’s Gang Crimes Section at 702-828-3309. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or at www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips leading directly to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
