Metro seeks man accused in fatal stabbing outside restaurant
Las Vegas police have named a suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened in August outside a central valley Mediterranean restaurant.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Sergey Mkhitaryan, 32, police said Tuesday. He faces a count of murder with a deadly weapon. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Avetis Shilgevorkyan, 57, of Las Vegas, died at University Medical Center after he was stabbed Aug. 20, Metro said. The stabbing followed an "earlier fight" outside the Shish Kabob House, 6620 W. Flamingo Road, just east of Torrey Pines Road.
The Metropolitan Police Department said in August that the two men knew each other, but didn't say how.
Mkhitaryan stands about 5 feet 9 inches and weighs about 175 pounds, Metro said.
