Metro to observe anniversary of killing of 2 officers, man in shooting rampage

Metro will honor the lives of two of its officers and a third man killed in a shooting rampage last year.
The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. Monday — the one-year anniversary — at Metro’s Northeast Area Command office, 3750 Cecile Ave. in Las Vegas, according to a new release.
Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck were killed on June 8, 2014, while they ate lunch at a northeast valley CiCi’s Pizza. Married couple Amanda and Jerad Miller were the gunmen. The couple fled to a nearby Wal-Mart, where they killed Joseph Wilcox, of Las Vegas.
The couple died in an ensuing shootout with Metro officers.
