April 9, 2015 - 2:28 pm
No one was hurt in a house fire that displaced two adults and two children Thursday morning, North Las Vegas Fire Department said.
An attic fire in the home at 2904 Dogwood Court, near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard North and Cheyenne Avenue, started just after 10 a.m.
Numerous calls came from neighbors who could see smoke coming from the single-story home, a news release from the fire department said.
Once crews arrived, it took an hour and ten minutes to get the fire under control.
The residents are being helped by the Nevada Red Cross for housing and personal needs. Half the roof collapsed because of the fire.
The damage was estimated at $200,000, the release said. The fire was classified as an accident.
