Occupants safe after garage catches fire in southeast valley

No one was injured during a house fire Tuesday evening in the southeast valley, the Clark County Fire Department said.

About 7:20 p.m., firefighters from both the Clark County and Henderson fire departments responded to a blaze at 1895 Silver Buckle Ct., near Spencer Street and East Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

Upon arrival, the garage was in flames, but all the home’s occupants had safely evacuated the building. It wasn’t clear how many people were home at the time, but the fire department said anywhere from four to six people.

The fire was out in about 20 minutes.

As of Tuesday night, the department hadn’t made a damage estimate. The cause is still under investigation.
