One dead after single-car crash in northeast valley

One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a Friday night single-car crash in the northeast valley, Las Vegas police said.

Officers and medical crews were called about 8:50 p.m. to a residential area at the intersection of Los Sedano Circle and Radwick Drive, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Owens Avenue, Metro Lt. Will Huddler said.

An initial investigation determined that the driver of a car lost control and hit a wall, Huddler said. The passenger of the car died and the driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
