Police: Fight led to deadly Craig Ranch Park shooting
A fight led to a deadly shooting at Craig Ranch Regional Park late Tuesday night, according to North Las Vegas police.
Police responded to the park at 628 W. Craig Road, near Commerce Street, about 8:45 p.m. They discovered a 22-year-0ld man had been shot and taken by a friend to University Medical Center, according to police. The man died a short time later at the hospital.
The man and his killer fought briefly before shots were fired, police said. Metro believes the shooting was not random.
Police said no arrests had been made as of Wednesday afternoon, and there were no suspects.
The identity of the 22-year-old will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after next of kin have been notified. Police initially indicated he was 31.
