Police: Toddler drowns at apartment complex
A toddler drowned at a northwest valley apartment complex Monday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.
Emergency crews responded about 4:20 p.m. to Tivoli apartments, 4650 N. Rainbow Blvd., near West Lone Mountain Road. The toddler later died at an area hospital.
Detectives with Metro's abuse and neglect section are investigating, police said.
Police would not release an exact age or gender for the child, but a Metro supervisor said it was appropriate to describe the juvenile as a toddler. Metro also refused to say which hospital the toddler was taken to, but described the toddler's condition as life-threatening earlier in the day.
The child's identity will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
