Salvation Army picks new Las Vegas coordinator

The Las Vegas Salvation Army has a new coordinator.

Major Kelly Pontsler takes over the Las Vegas Salvation Army after spending over two years at the same position in Salem, Ore.

Pontsler served 28 years in Africa, Europe and other parts of the Western United States before coming to Las Vegas.

She took over for Major Robert Lloyd on Jan. 15. She will oversee all of the The Salvation Army programs in Southern Nevada.
