Storm warning covers southern areas of Las Vegas Valley

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in Las Vegas until 3:15 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Winds in excess of 60 mph and penny-size hail started near Seven Hills around 2:30 p.m. The storm is moving northeast.

Locations include Green Valley, Anthem, Seven Hills, Silverado Ranch and Southern Highlands.

Central Clark County was under a flash flood warning until 2:15 p.m., according to the National Weather Service advisory.

There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow, but skies should be clear for a few days after.
