Woman injured in Vegas north valley park shooting

A young woman was expected to survive after being wounded in a north valley shooting Sunday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.
She was struck by a bullet but her injury was not deemed life-threatening, Metro Lt. W. Graham said. She was transported to University Medical Center.
Officers and a medical crew were called about 3 p.m. to Lubertha Johnson Park in the 1100 block of Balzar Avenue, near the intersection of Martin Luther King and Lake Mead boulevards, Graham said.
No arrests were announced and a shooter had not been identified, Graham said about 4 p.m.
