Woman killed in Thursday motorcycle crash identified

The woman killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Shivon Kapualani McKeague, 36, died in the crash, police said. She and a passenger on the 2005 Kawasaki Ninja were heading westbound on Tropicana Avenue, near Paradise Road and Koval Lane, at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle fell onto its side and continued sliding on the road, hitting two cars, according to a Metro news release.

McKeague was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said that drugs and alcohol may have played a roll in the crash.
