Updated December 27, 2018 - 10:55 am

RENO — Reno police say firefighters had to extricate three 16-year-olds trapped in a vehicle after a rollover crash.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries while two passengers were taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries after the crash Wednesday.

According to police, speed was a factor in the crash but that there didn’t appear to be impairment from drugs or alcohol.

Police say the driver was likely driving at least 20 mph above the posted 50 mph limit.
