California man killed in watercraft accident on Colorado River near Laughlin

A Fountain Valley, California, man was killed in a Tuesday watercraft accident on the Arizona side of the Colorado River.

Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Sadallah Khalil, 39, was using a personal watercraft with his 14-year-old nephew at the time of the 4:15 p.m. crash.

“They were both headed southbound on the Colorado River near the Laughlin Bridge when Khalil took a sharp turn in front of his nephew and they collided,” Fromelt said.

She said Khalil was pronounced dead following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City. The teenager wasn’t injured.
