The Clark County coroner’s office has released the cause of death for a fisherman whose body was found in October at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, eight months after he’d been reported missing.
Charles Finley III, 45, of Las Vegas, died from an accidental drowning Oct. 18, the coroner’s office said. His was one of two bodies from separate incidents found that day by kayakers and boaters in the recreation area.
Lake Mead spokeswoman Christie Vanover said Finley and two other men went on a multi-day fishing trip in February and went missing after their boat capsized in Echo Bay. The body of one of the other fishermen was found the next day. The third man has not been found.
