Las Vegas man faces child porn charges in Nye County

The Nye County sheriff’s office arrested a Las Vegas man Wednesday morning in a child pornography investigation.
Authorities said Joseph Carberry was visiting friends in Pahrump when he was uploading the material, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives who interviewed Carberry said he admitted his actions. Carberry told detectives the residents of the home were not aware of his activity. He faces one count each of possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
Several computers were taken as evidence for analysis by the Attorney General’s Cybercrimes Task Force.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed.
