Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-15 near Moapa
A motorcyclist died Wednesday after crashing near Moapa, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before noon on northbound Interstate 15, near the exit for State Route 168 and about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas, NHP Trooper Loy Hixson said. NHP initially said the man survived and was being flown to a hospital in critical condition
The motorcyclist, described only as a man, was pronounced dead at there, Hixson said. A helicopter that was going to fly the man to a hospital caused a “minor diversion” of traffic in the area.
The motorcyclist’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.
