Pedestrian, 77, struck, killed in Bullhead City

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A 77-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in northwest Arizona on Monday, but the victim’s name was withheld pending notification of kin.

Bullhead City police said officers responded at 9 p.m. to a report that a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the 2900 block of Miracle Mile road.

The driver involved in the collision said he could not stop in time when the pedestrian stepped in front of the path of his vehicle on the roadway, according to police spokeswoman Carina Spotts.

The victim died of his injuries after transport to a local hospital.

No citation will be issued to the driver, Spotts said.
